And under this criteria, at wabisabu, we made certain decisions.

We chose WordPress

Yes, we chose WordPress as the general platform for our clients’ developments and the choice was simple.

At the time of writing this article, there are 238,145,990 active websites. Practically 30% of them are based on WordPress (71,443,797 websites), making it a very proven, flexible and… free platform.

Behind WordPress there are countless excellent programmers who have made this platform evolve, since 2003, to become the most popular content management system (CMS), due to its simplicity, both for developers and for its users.

But this was not the main reason.

WordPress has a flexibility that allows you to develop real business applications. An online store, a real estate portal, an eLearning system, a booking manager for hotels… The examples are unlimited.

And it is this flexibility that led us to choose it for most of our projects.

When we chose WordPress we did it on the basis of not having to assemble a brick factory to build a house. And, besides, the bricks were free. From there, we could design a villa, an office building, an industrial building or a skyscraper. Our customers would only have to pay for the architecture, construction and some special materials.

And do other things

The tools we build are just that, tools. And they wouldn’t work or be the right ones if we didn’t surround them with a set of services that meet the expectations of the people we work with: our clients.

That’s why we are much more than WordPress and, from a consultancy to define the needs of a successful online presence, to an advertising campaign, through search engine optimization or content marketing, we accompany our clients on the road to achieve their goals in the digital environment.

Not because it’s easy

For several years we experimented with WordPress templates, the easy way. We discarded them.

Templates straitjacket our clients’ businesses. The business had to adapt to the tool and not the other way around. This went against our philosophy.

Our goal was different: to provide tools that were easy to manage and that fit the needs of the business. And WordPress made it easy for us to build these tools, often with standard materials and sometimes with a little creativity.

So we could make WooCommerce work in a B2C and B2B environment simultaneously, build a real estate portal tailored to the needs of the Spanish market, develop a website for buying and selling yachts or create a classified ads website that met exactly the client’s needs.

But because it is difficult

Nowadays it is possible to order the development of a WordPress website for a few Euros. We are not in that market. We are where such companies do not reach.

And we do it because we are a digital marketing agency focused on people, on the people who will work with us to develop their business and on the people who, in turn, will be clients of these people.

As we’ve already said, WordPress is our brick factory. With bricks you can build good things and not so good things. It depends on many other factors.

For this reason, we go way beyond website development.

And we do it because it’s hard. Because we have the knowledge, the experience and the drive to make it happen.
